This is my first review of anything. Brad is simply the best; He was an instrument of God in our first home situation because he made it happen. I am public school teacher, mother of 5 children (with one of them being recovering from a critical illness), and we had zero savings. So us buying our first home was truly unexpected. My husband at first thought it was a scam because “how can you buy a home with zero down”? But it is true. Brad is the master of all available financial packages. I believed that the only requirement is that your max loan is a maximum of 45%DTI. Brad was also the best financial adviser because the bare minimum debt that we had to clear and in the end of the sale, we received as a credit our $5,000 Earnest Deposit. I already recommended Brad to one of my teacher coworkers, and I also recommend it to everyone here in Contra Costa. Even if you think you don't qualify for a home loan, please give him a call. My husband and I are first time homebuyers. About a year ago I reached out to Brad regarding the CalHero home loan program, per my step mother’s recommendation. Brad was very helpful and informative and I knew I would want to use his services when the right time came to purchase a home. This year my husband and I paid off all our student loan debt, saved up an emergency fund, and casually started looking at homes online. We came across a very affordable home for this day and age in Southern California. We went out to see it and liked it. We had enough saved up for the down payment but then learned how much closing costs would be. We did not want to dip into our emergency fund to cover the closing costs and decided we wouldn’t move forward with this home. However, it was Brad who suggested that we just offer the asking price and request that the seller cover all the closing costs, something we didn’t even consider since we’re first time homebuyers and didn’t know what we’re doing. We prayed about it, got positive input from our mentors, and decided to go ahead and make an offer. The seller accepted and the whole home-buying process has gone very smoothly. Awesome lender! From the moment my wife and I met Brad, he worked tirelessly to find us the best deal for a home loan. He gave us multiple options and was sooooo patient with the all of our questions. He even went out of his way to make a 10 minutes video explaining, line by line, our loan costs! This is my 4th home purchase loan (not counting re-finances), I've never had any lender go to that extent to make sure we - 1. Understood everything, 2. Were comfortable with the loan. Your home purchase is the biggest purchase of your life and Brad understands that! He will get you the best deal no doubt! This is the second time my family has refi'd with Brad and his company while using a VA loan (11year veteran, USMC). Brad was amazing!!  There were several hurdles to get over in qualifying me for a down  payment assistance loan and Brad was able to tackle them all successfully.  Any broker can qualify a buyer with perfect credit and  a large down, but if you need  extra help and a broker who is willing to do the work,  then you need Brad!!  If you read through the rest of the reviews you can see Brad is the person willing to tackle difficult lending situations and the majority of them successfully.  Brad was also very responsive to me and my real estate agent.  We  had a response from him almost immediately and never had to wait more than  an hour. My active duty husband and I are in the process of refinancing with a HERO loan.. something we learned a little too late is an extremely difficult thing to do in California without having to pay the loan off in full first. (Seriously feeling buyers remorse and a little scammed by the HERO salespeople who actually encouraged us to put off our refinance until AFTER we finalized our HERO loan! But I digress..) After hitting brick wall after brick wall, I found Brad online through his extremely informative blog post on refinancing with a HERO loan. While discussing my issue with one of my clients over coffee, they also recommended Brad! It was fate! I immediately reached out, and Brad's response time has been stunningly prompt, and his professionalism is off the charts. He is so patient with me as I ask a bazillion questions and more regarding the whole process. Being so new to all of this (we are first time home owners!) I have been pestering Brad's inbox with question after question, but Brad has been gracious and kind and has walked me through the whole process step by step! While we are still in the process of refinancing with the help of Brad, I just had to give a shout out, since he is really going out of his way to be a superstar and help us get the refinance that we want as quickly as possible. I am due with my third child right now, and we have a number of upcoming expenses looming ahead of us (needing a car that will fit an extra car seat, medical bills and so forth..) and the refinance would / will be a HUGE blessing for our family... I was feeling so helpless until we contacted Brad, and while I am still impatient and antsy with the normal wait times involved in refinancing, I am feeling so much more peace knowing we have  a knowledgeable, helpful and able person on our case! UPDATE: Not only did Brad get us our loan that EVERY OTHER loan agent said was impossible, but he went out of his way to get us a low interest rate, and a lower home insurance rate. While the immediate savings are awesome, the long term savings are staggering.. SUCH a HUGE blessing to our growing family!! Thank you so much Brad! Brad was my loan agent for not one, but two home loans. He was efficient and kept me on top of everything to make sure that we closed on time. The first one was a rush job because it was a short sale with a very demanding bank. Brad had all of his ducks in a row and we were ahead of the game on every single deadline. He helped me get closing costs covered and really found ways to help me with what I needed to afford this home. Unfortunately, the owner backed out at the end and decided to claim bankruptcy so that he could stay in the house. So, a few weeks later, we started the whole process again. The process the second time was very easy and we actually closed escrow in about 3 weeks. Brad's efficiency, knowledge, and accuracy were key during the whole process. I can't tell you what a roller-coaster it's been with this whole process of buying our first home. Boy did I get lucky using Brad as our broker. Brad is sincere, he is very responsive, he always gets back to you. If it's not the moment you email or call him, It will be minutes later. He is a realist and doesn't play games. I went through lots of ups and downs through the process but it's just the nature of buying a home. It can be a stressful thing. For example getting documents together in a timely matter. But all in all it came together. Brad got us into the loan he promised and got us $5500 grant towards our downpayment. He also got us the loan approval super quick. I close on the 27th of this month so I've still got some time to go, but Brad has come through with everything he said he will work to do. I can't thank him enough! Thank you Brad! Can't put into words what Brad has done for me and my family! I never write reviews, but Brad is the absolute best and we owe him a tremendous amount. We had a previous short sale on our record and after working with 10 brokers whom swore they could help, none of them could, but Brad did. He helped us navigate through a needle hole to be able to purchase again 24 months after our short sale anniversary and notified us of the recent change to FHA guidelines that changed waiting periods to 4 years. Brad recently helped our family with the purchase of a great new home in Northern California.  More specifically, Brad’s loan expertise and guidance made it possible for us to (a) find a program to best suit our family’s needs, then (b) be prepared and ready to act when we found the right house (or 4 of the “right” houses to be precise) and finally to (c) follow through to a smooth closing on a great home in this heated market and with a seller who was very unfamiliar and anxious about a buyer using a Jumbo VA loan!! The details of our situation were complicated across the board and Brad was there with us 100% along the way to help address every issues and complexity: •	I was recently relocated to the bay area from the East Coast – Bay area home prices are absolutely nuts, even compared to the ‘costly’ east coast major metro area we came from. We were not going to be able to buy out here using any kind of traditional mortgage program.   Brad helped identify a VA loan program which would allow us to minimize down payment and maximize lender credits towards closing costs so that we could buy as much house as we needed out here in an expensive and highly competitive market.  The full document pre-approval "PreferredBuyer Advantage" program was most certainly an asset in establishing our credibility as legitimately qualified buyers •	My compensation situation was definitely non-standard based on our relocation move with a variety of non-standard financial components cluttering up my loan app and documentation, etc...    Brad and the outstanding Mountain West processing team had us fully pre-qualified within days after submitting our application and provided the qualification letters within minutes each of the several times we needed them. •	Our seller and her agent were completely unfamiliar with the nuances and intricacies of VA loan programs.  Moreover, we ended up having a pest inspection issue compound the matter.  Together, these factors made the seller jittery and her agent quite difficult to work with.  The ‘issue’ was not major in anyone’s eyes including ours, but could have resulted in a VA loan denial.    Brad played center field through it all and navigated the seller, her agent, us, our agent, his underwriting department, the regional VA office, and the pest inspector to ensure every possible angle was evaluated so that the deal could progress…   It was a nerve-wracking three weeks of literally hundreds of emails, phone calls, and text messages among all of us (Brad offered up his personal contact info for weekend availability).  In the end, Brad’s diligence helped  ensure that cooler heads prevailed with the necessary repairs made and paid for by the seller while also minimizing her exposure to only the work required to ensure loan approval. Based on all of the above, I’m fairly certain our loan was among the most complicated situations possible in the home financing business these days.  Through it all, Brad did not miss a beat or express any frustration or uncertainty of a positive conclusion.  I have bought or refinanced homes a total of 5 times over the past 15 years, and my experience with Brad and his Mountain West processing and underwriting teams was 2nd to none…   not even close. How can we put into words what Brad has done for us... Recently married, we set out to buy our first home. We had so many doors slammed in our faces...that is, until we met Brad. We've used Brad twice now in the past 2 years.  Brad helped us out with our initial purchase of our house and again, 2 years later, with our refinance with cash out.  What a great help he was.  We are pretty clueless when it comes to these kind of transactions, but Brad made life very easy for us, both times.  When we first purchased our home it went so smooth that we hardly felt like we were in a purchase process.  Everything was so simple and he was there to promptly answer any of our questions.  Two years after this purchase, we found our home had increased so much in value, that we were hoping to pay off all of our unnecessary debt with our equity (somehow).  Wells Fargo (my own bank) had contacted me and told me that our only option was a 2nd and we would not qualify based on our home value.  Well, one day I decided to email Brad.  He got right back to me, and about 2 weeks later, our loan was done.  A refi with cash out.  NO 2nd mortgage!  I cannot tell you how easy everything went.
